1. 1981: Born – Tsholotsho, Matabeleland North, Zimbabwe
2. 2010: Completes an MFA in creative writing at Cornell – Ithaca, United States, She completed a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing at Cornell University, after earlier degrees in English from Texas A&M University-Commerce and Southern Methodist University.
3. 2012 – 2014: Becomes a Stegner Fellow at Stanford – Stanford, United States, She held a Stegner Fellowship in creative writing at Stanford University.
