3. 12 August 1978: Marries Helen Sara Jones – He married Helen Sara Jones, a teacher, gaining a stepson.
4. 1980: Completes a PhD at the University of Hull – Hull, England, He was awarded a doctorate by the University of Hull.
5. 1982: Begins working as a writer – From 1982 he worked as a writer, publishing most of his novels under the pseudonym Robert Edric.
