2010 – 2018: Co-founds the Chill Pill poetry collective – Deptford, London, England, Is a founding member of Chill Pill, a spoken-word series at The Albany in Deptford, which runs until 2018.
April 2019: Marries – Marries Tabitha, a photographer and art conservator from New Orleans.
2020: Elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature – Is elected FRSL.
2021: Becomes a father – His son is born.
2021: Appointed MBE – Is made a Member of the Order of the British Empire in the 2021 New Year Honours for services to literature.
